1. I can't get my modem to work
- Check whether your modem is connected properly,
before you install the PPP connection software, make sure that
your modem's connected (AC plug and the serial port if it's
external).
- Check the COM Port also. Make sure that your
modem is connected to the same COM Port with the Modem COM
Port in windows setup.
|
2. I've checked the modem connection, but I still can't
make it works
- Check your COM Port setting. If your modem is
using COM 2, then specify COM 2 at your communication software
for modem connection.
- Check your fastest baudrate, don't set the baudrate
in your communication software exceed the baudrate that's supported
by your modem.

3. I've connected to Melsa, but can't get any applications
works
- Open PING, and try pinging to 202.138.224.3,
and then 202.138.224.2 and then 202.138.224.1. If you get a
response (the Ping software is showing some result value) then
the protocol is working and you're ready to go. If not, then
you should check again your IP setup.

4. I use a 56 Kbps modem, but I can't
get connected over 33.600 bps
Melsa-i-net phone line is not a digital phone
line, so the maximum speed for the modem is 33.600 bps
