Little Pei's nice home
Hi.
Thanks for stopping by. You know, in this neighborhood, my home is perhaps
the simplest one. See, I don't think all them nifty backgrounds and tons of images
would fit into this home because it might take *ages* to download them. But, I have
to confess, I do have areas dedicated to many pictures taken during my trips or taken by
my mom. Do
please enjoy your visit here. L.Pei
Personal Interests
- Nature
- Well, of course my main interest is
watching Nature itself. I love sitting under a tree and watching life goes by --
things such as birds that fly from branch to branch while chirping frantically to each
other; squirrels and chipmunks that are busy scampering back and forth with acorns in
their mouth; or a leaf that dances gracefully in the air before landing on the ground with
a sigh; people walking around with or without thinking, or even a sunset. Sometime
you just need to stop and listen or see. Nature, IMHO, does not always means
"the natural world as it exists without human beings or civilization" or its
elements. I mean, if animals can be one of the natural world's elements, why can't
human beings become part of the natural world also? Check this page if you want to
see several of my favorite pictures about nature in general from my point of view.
- Books
- Little Pei is just a mere two years
old bear. But mom used to read me some nifty books from JRR Tolkien, Douglas Adams,
Asterix, Charles Dickens and Walt Whitman's poems. There are also books from Emha
Ainun Nadjib and Y.B. Mangunwijaya. Now, what do all these have to do with
nature? Nothing. I just like reading books.
- Music
- First, classical music. Not
only the usual classics such as Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven and
Tchaikovski, but also classical music of Indonesia such as Kecapi-Suling and Saluang.
- Second, New Age.
- Third, progressive rock.
- Fourth, jazz and blues.
Blues... ah, blues... It's not about the rhythm of the music, but it's about the feeling
when you hear the music.
- Tea and Hot Chocolate
- I like to snuggle up in my couch
while reading books and sipping either a big mug of hot chocolate or hot tea (darjeeling
is the best!)
- My mom
- Blame it on my
mom for she's the one who made me a spoiled little bear.
- Dooty, BigPaw and Edgberg
- Dooty is my first weird but cool friend. He taught me nifty tricks
such as licking my own nose, running frantically in circles and messing up my dearest
uncle's room. BigPaw is my big bro. He is sooooo
cool! Can't say anything else about him. I just love him. Edgberg... well, what should I say... He is another weird friend of
mine. Don't tell anybody, but I think he's a wonderful guy. Here are our pictures if you want to see them.
- My Uncle
- Edgberg's dad, a
wacky but nifty guy who lives in New Zealand. Right now, I am staying with
him. Too bad he is too lazy to maintain a home page. You would like it if you
could visit it. In the mean time, I'll try to convince him to get his home
page up and running.
Biographical Information
- November 1995

several months, my mom finally saw me and decided to take me home with her. Thanks a
bunch, mom.

ok. I *love* messing up his room. But sometimes I just miss my mom.

- Ansel
Adams Gallery
- Well, I like pictures about
nature. Period. But, sometime I wish Mr. Adams would take some pictures with a
human element.

- This is a story written by Philip Greenspun. The first
chapter of the story about his dog, George,is the one that
made me fall in love with it.
- Mom's hometown
- Mom lives in Bandung, a nice city
in West Java, Indonesia. I still like this city, even though it's so crowded now.
- Mom's home-village
- Mom's parents came from a place in
West Sumatra, called Koto Gadang.
- All
you want to know about Indonesia
- Everything you want to know, from
