"It is said that all the greatest things in the world are free. Actually, they are free to be seen, to be felt and to be enjoyed with caution. Nobody can own them entirely. It is our responsibility to maintain them with a great care. For our own benefit. For the future"

About our world

You can save the world, in your own way.  Many think that saving the world consistonly of so-called tree-hugging, being a naturalist, going outside and protesting damagingactivites, stuff like that.  Well, with respect for such efforts, we can do otherwork that is as important as such activities above.  I will propose one topic foreach month, and I will share it with all of you.  This month's topic is the firstone.

Topic for this month:
If you work in an office or home-office, you can do your share in saving theworld.  No need to go outside and hug the tree; all you do is probably just a littlework.   Below are some basic principles in doing your part for the better of ourworld.  Not only that, these principles can give you and your company a result ofless operational costs.  You can start from the easiest one for you.

In using papers:
        * Use bothsides of each sheet of paper whenever possible and collect all discarded paper forrecycling.
        * Re-use envelopesfor internal office mail
        * Some officepaper (writing paper and computer paper) is more valuable than newsprint.  So collectit and sell it to a waste paper dealer.  Hey... that could be your second income! :-)

In saving energy
        * Usecompact fluorescent light bulbs instead of ordinary bulbs.  They cost more but lastlonger and use less power.
        * Switch offlights, air conditioners and other electrical equipment when not in use and always beforegoing home.
        * One third of allprivate auto mileage is clocked up in commuting to and from work.  So encourage carpooling amongst your office colleagues and neighbours.
